I’m sure that my kids are the only ones who, at times, feel a little entitled. Like I owe them something. They are deserving of…everything. Well, I know where they get it from. Me! I recognize that, at times, in my relationship with God.
“I will not give a sacrifice to the Lord my God that costs me nothing.” 2 Samuel 24:24
I love David’s heart in that verse. He was the King. He was “entitled” to a lot. But not when it came to His standing with God. He recognized that God was King. David was not. And David had a giving heart, more than an entitled one. God owes us nothing. We owe everything to Him. May we have a grateful, giving heart toward God today. – Sandi
