MYSTI JORDAN
Bio:
I originally hail from the Lone Star State, so please don’t be surprised if a “y’all” or “fixin’ to” slips out. Those are ingrained in Texans from birth and are very difficult to remove from our vocabulary. I worked in everything from country to Top 40 until 2012 when God called me into Christian radio, and I’ve never looked back. I am married to a wonderful man named Jason who, for some reason, puts up with me even after more than a decade of being married to me. We don’t have any children, but we do collect pets like it’s our full-time job. We hope to foster to adopt at some point, and we’d love to run our own animal rescue that doubles as a place to not only find animals a forever home, but also provides ministry to kids in the foster care system as they learn the different hardships the animals have overcome to find their way to a new life of freedom.
Nickname:
It’s tragic, but I have never really had a nickname. My anti-nickname is “Myst.” So much nope.
Biggest Treasure in this life:
Quality time with those you love the most. Take every second you can.
Fun fact:
I once ran into The Rock at Chicago O’Hare and somehow failed to recognize him.
One meal to eat for the rest of your life:
Mexican food, any and all!
Favorite bible verse:
John 16:33 – “In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Favorite thing to do on a day off:
I’m a big fan of doing absolutely nothing. Give me comfy PJs and Prime video, and I’m good!
