More About Justin

Bio:

I was born and raised in South Georgia but have spent time in Florida and Tennessee. I’ve been around music most of my life… as a drummer and on the radio. There’s something about a melody and heartfelt, meaningful lyrics that speak to me in ways other things can’t. I’m highly competitive, usually organized, and slightly germaphobic. I have way too many hats and a fear of stinking. If we ever meet, you’ll probably be like… “That guy’s hat was way too big and he had on too much cologne.” I apologize in advance.

Beach or Mountain:

Mountain – because this white boy will roast on the beach.

Biggest Treasure in this life:

Person: My grandfather. He’s a WWII vet with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He’s also the most humble, God-fearing man I know. It will be a major accomplishment if I’m even half the man he is.

Thing: The drum set that I designed. Occasionally, I show people pictures like it’s my child.

Favorite thing to do on a day off:

Watch or play baseball. Well… let’s be honest. There’s no way I’m hitting a baseball. If I’m playing, it’s slow-pitch church softball.

Favorite bible verse:

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Bio

I was born in the Pacific Northwest and have lived in a lot of places between here and there but after 18 years, I call St. Louis my home. I am a cancer survivor and fiercely committed to Sunday afternoon naps.

Nickname:

The Great Googler, Kim-Possible, DJ Jazzy Kimbo ..all ridiculous and I love it!

Biggest Treasure in this life:

My family and friends who are family! Also, photos of my parents who have passed away.

Fun fact:

I’m a former National Anthem Singer for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls

One meal to eat for the rest of your life:

Monical’s Pizza with pepperoni and black olives, Monical’s salad with their french dressing (Monical’s fans know what I’m talking about) and a Pepsi!

Favorite bible verse:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Bio:

In West Chicago I was born and raised. Playing in the yard and listening to the radio is how I spent most of my days, even recorded my own ‘music shows’ via my Boombox. I met my wife Rachel at Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago and we’ve been married over 18 years and have 4 kids (our two oldest were adopted from Ethiopia in 2013). Even though I am in fact a Cubs fan, I will cheer for the Cardinals when they aren’t playing the cubs🤪. I love being part of this community and sharing hope in Christ.

Last show you binge watched:
The Office

Beach or Mountain:
Mountains with a lake and a boat. However, I would prefer the year long nicer weather at a beach location.

Pizza or Burger:

Can I choose both? Yes, yes I can. (Giordano’s deep dish and Five Guys burgers)

Fun fact:

I once met and interviewed Mr. McFeely (David Newell) from the classic kids show “Mr, Roger’s Neighborhood” – as a fan of the show, it was really cool.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
