How Do You Carry Hurt and Hope?

Let’s be honest, pain is real. We all experience hurt in different ways. But as a believer, pain doesn’t have to define us or get the last word.  So, what do we do with it? 

 

“I remember my trouble and misery…yet this I call to mind and therefore have hope: His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:19-23 

 

Pain has a voice. It may be speaking to you right now. But you don’t have to let your past hurt drown out God’s voice. He speaks new mercy into your life every morning. I think it is possible to look back, see the pain and also see God’s mercy. That’s how hope is fostered.  And it is how you carry hurts and live with hope. Great is His faithfulness! – Sandi
