There are New Year’s resolutions…which may be long gone by now. Then, there are hopes and desires that last long past January. This is one of those for me:
“I keep asking that God…may give you the Spirit of wisdom so that you may know Him better.” Ephesians 1:17
Every time I think about knowing God “better” it strikes a chord deep within me. I don’t want to settle for being an acquaintance of God. I want to know Him more. Understand Him better. Trust Him fully. Not in a prideful way or to say that I accomplished something. But I want to know His heart. His Word. His way. There is nothing better. I pray that God’s Spirit creates a longing in each of us to know Him better. – Sandi
