Mike Donehey from Tenth Avenue North - "I had COVID-19."

Mike Donehey, lead singer of Tenth Avenue North, shares about his Coronavirus diagnosis, symptoms, regrets, masks, and how his family is recovering.

Justin asked Mike what he would say to those who are scared during this time, because it is so easy to become fearful of everything in our world. Especially now.

Mike’s answer referred back to 1 Thessalonians 4:13 that says “…so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.” He added, “Yeah we grieve, yeah we get nervous, yeah we get anxious, yeah we do this, but we don’t do it like people who don’t have hope.”

Have you ever wondered what you are supposed to do when you feel like your hope is crumbling around you? Mike mentioned that people have asked him that before and his response was “I get curious what my hope was in” in the first place.

“…so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope”
1 Thessalonians 4:13

Do you feel hope crumbling around you? Maybe with the loss of a job, loss of being able to freely leave your house, or just loss of normalcy? First ask yourself, what your hope was in to begin with because while these things around us can crumble, God’s faithfulness never does. Now THAT’s something to find hope in!
