Do I desire God’s presence or His provision? Honestly, at times, I seek His hand more than His presence. When my heart gets to that place, I read this passage:
“Moses said to God, ‘If your Presence doesn’t go with us, don’t send us from here.’ … And the Lord said, ‘I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’” Exodus 33:15,17
That is what ‘relationship’ looks like. Closeness. Being known. The intimacy is evident. Moses wanted to stay close to His Father. He wasn’t chasing a to do list, a needs list, fame, or fortune. He wanted to be in God’s presence. It was enough for Moses. And I pray it will be enough for our restless hearts as well. It is where we find peace. And it is what pleases God’s heart. – Sandi
