There are no secrets in our house. I remember thinking that often, especially when our kids were little, and they would “share” with their school and Sunday School teachers. Kids are repeaters. Words. Behaviors. Habits. I don’t think we outgrow that.
“Be imitators of God, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us…” Ephesians 5:1-2
We don’t stop “repeating” or “imitating” simply because we get older. Our attitudes and actions are still being influenced. For me, I don’t naturally gravitate to Godly thoughts or actions. So, this verse is a great reminder…I need to intentionally imitate God. Saying what He says. Loving the way that He loves. That’s what kids do. I pray we look more and more like our Father! – Sandi
