I was talking with a friend last week about being content. There’s no greater sense of peace and rest than being right with God. It doesn’t mean everything is perfect or even that you “feel” happy. But there is a deep sense of contentment that only God can bring.
“Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.” Psalm 116:7
Maybe your heart needs the reminder that God has been good to you. He really has. His pursuing love. His forgiveness. The hope and purpose that we find in Him alone. So much more than we deserve. So, I don’t know where you are on the contentment scale today. But I pray that as you pause to thank God for the many, many ways in which He has been good to you….that your soul will be at rest.
