I am not a good “wait-er.” It seems so pointless and inefficient. Let’s get on to the good stuff. NOW! But God, often, requires us to wait, on Him.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
God has purposes in the waiting. He created the world in 6 days…..not in an instant.
He chose to bring the walls of Jericho down in 7 days…not the first time the army marched around.
And He raised His son from the grave 3 days later.
Why the wait? I don’t know. But I do know we can trust Him in the waiting. He is the same God today, tomorrow and however long He invites us to wait. If you are in a season of waiting, God isn’t punishing you. He is working out His plan, in His perfect time. He and His perfect plans are worth the wait! – Sandi
